Description
Wolcen is the first and flagship title from indie developers Wolcen Studio. It gained notoriety in its pre-release Kickstarter phase for promising features unique to the ARPG hack-and-slash genre, such as an open world and customizable player housing. Version 1.0 ended up being a very different game than it was during Alpha and Beta playtesting and most of the MMO-esque features were cut in favor of offering a more polished and familiar gameplay formula.
Powered by Cryengine, the engine behind Crysis and other high-end graphical showcases, Wolcen is a game that looks great, but is generally criticized for its lingering bugs and lack of diversity in itemization and build paths.
